Working at home, or living at the office?

I have worked at home for the past 4 years as an internet marketing consultant. It’s made my life a lot easier in some regards, but also complicates things sometimes. For the first little while, I worked upstairs in an extra bedroom but shifted to the basement two years ago so that I could separate my life and work space. The distance is 40 feet or so, but the ability to leave my work space behind and live upstairs makes all of the difference. Sometimes it’s the small things like desk location and mental separation that proves to be the most effective items for productivity to increase. Just a thought.
