When dealing with website design, I always try and ask myself this one question; what problem is this page trying to solve? Sometimes the simplest question brings out the most effective results. Usually there are two or three answers to the question, and ranking the order of importance plays a huge role in the actual design of the page. If you can solve the problem at hand with effective design, you should see great results every time. Just a thought.
