Not too long ago it was critical for your internet marketing to have a great website. Everyone was frantically developing these very basic “brochure” type websites that simply allowed people online to find information about your business or product. I actually built a business around this – so it’s not a critique, more of a statement.
As the Internet evolves, it is important to ensure your online presence is evolving with it. A website was once the ONLY means you had to promote your brand (name, product, company etc) online but now there are several other means to so – and to be very effective; Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Flikr, etc etc etc
Everyone’s web presence can be different, and unique, and tailored to their specific needs. Not every company needs a website anymore – but for the most, IT SHOULD be the central aspect of your online brand. Other tools should be used as referral sources or means of communicating. Just a thought.
