Did you know that I can tell many things about you just by the fact that you are reading this? Analytics allows me to see the city & country you came from, the time you came here, which search terms you typed in, which site sent you as a referral (Google, Facebook, Twitter etc), how long you were on this page, on the site, where you went afterwards, which links you clicked on, which actions you took, how long before you left, and where your mouse moved. I cannot tell who you are, or your IP, nor do I need to, however you are providing me with a lot of valuable data without even realizing it. Most websites collect this, and aggregate this data to tell them if their site is working, or if it is inefficient. Every one of your interactions (clicks, searches etc) tells a story to the analytics team reading the data and should be constantly analyzed to improve conversions. Just a thought.
