Geography and business

I studied Human Geography in University. I have always been passionate about geography and spent my childhood studying atlases. Human geography is a social science and at its core is a study of people and patterns on our planet. As a student, I always knew I would start my own business and geography simply made the most sense for me to study as a precursor to understanding businesses and products people would interact with. I was often criticized in the business classes I did take (accounting, marketing etc) because none of the faculty or students could understand the relationship between the two fields. If you’re thinking of going to school and know you’re going to be an entrepreneur, perhaps consider a field that studies human interactions … or philosophy. Just a thought.
