I am the founder and lead online marketing expert at unexia. This is my story :
I got my start in the internet industry creating concepts for internet-based companies at a small business incubator in Toronto, in 1999, right out of university. I had a degree in human geography, business and computer science and a passion for entrepreneurship therefore the role was the perfect start to my career. I spent the better part of a year researching and creating business plans to pitch to investors.
Sports Blog Network
I then launched a sports blog network, before anyone heard of the term “Blog” and before ad-supported content existed. My start-up worked with brands like Canada Basketball, Toronto Raptors’ players, and several universities including McMaster & Brock. The network grew to over 1,000,000 page views per month and worked on advertising deals with brands such as Nike and CBC during the 2002 Olympics.
Web Development
After facing the struggles of pre-monetization of the internet, I started a small web development company that went on to do great things. In 2 short years we were listed on the Branham 300 Index of top service providers in Canada, were considered a Top 25 up and comer, and were one of only 5 finalists for New Company Of The Year at the Canadian New Media Awards. We did not win the award, however, the company behind Flikr, did. For the past 10 years I have worked on over 500 web-based projects that included website design, flash animation, search engine optimization, branding and ecommerce. Unexia was also given an Entrepreneur of the Year Award by our local Chamber of Commerce.
Online Marketing
One of my clients convinced me to join forces with them to help launch a new law firm directory in 2004. I jumped on board and helped transform the business from a small 1 person operation to a dominant player in the online legal industry in Canada. Through my consulting work as the lead product developer, the company changed from a simple directory business into a full-fledged law firm marketing company and grew revenues by over 2,000% over 5 years.

Personal:
I am a proud father of two young girls. I value their happiness above all. I am an active triathlete, enjoy Crossfit training and am a die-hard Liverpool FC & Edmonton Oilers fan. My personality type is an INTJ and I can be classified as a Mastermind.
